Why Choose Whitestone Lake?
Known for its cool, spring-fed water Whitestone boasts 54 kilometers of shoreline to explore, an ideal lake for canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Another great thing is that 10% of the lakeshore is crown land limiting future development. Many of the original seasonal cottages built in the 1960s are being placed with new builds.
The lake is divided into 3 distinct areas. The most southerly section is about 1.6 kms long and contains several large islands and "Hudson Bay". Moving north through the narrows you'll find the "mid-lake" a long, thin stretch just over 2 1/2 kms long and home to some of the most expensive cottages on the lake. Going through the second narrows at the village of Dunchurch brings you to the largest section just under 4ms. long and over 3 ms. wide.

Real Estate Whitestone Lake
Whitestone Lake offers a wide range of real estate opportunities, including luxurious waterfront homes, charming seasonal cottages. Good vacant waterfront properties are rare on Whitestone. If you're considering cottage construction in the Parry Sound region you can find more information here.
As you can see by the chart on the left, property listings have been quite low the last few years. Only around 15-25 homes and cottages are listed for sale on any given year. Like most of Ontario, prices have risen sharply but are now starting to decline as higher interest rates and the cost of living weigh heavily on potential buyers.
Luxury real estate seems to been more immune to the softening market but it will take several years to see where the market settles.
